1) Mercedes-AMG A45

2.0 Litre Turbocharged 4-Cylinder | 376 bhp

Here we are, top of the list with Mercedes’ AMG A45. An absolute animal of a car no doubt developed purely to say “we’ve still got it”. In it’s most powerful face-lifted iteration it made 376 bhp at 6,500 rpm as standard straight off the showroom floor. There was also the AMG A45 S making 416 bhp at 6,750 bhp, again, through Mercedes’ 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system. The power unit is shared with the CLA45, which is itself a hatchback of sorts.
